Narrative
Three strangers who live in the same New York apartment building and share an obsession with true crime suddenly find themselves entangled in a murder… Steve Martin actually plays the harmonica in various scenes. The viewer learned in the first episode that CHS lives above Oliver, who lives above Mabel, in that elevator scene.

BUT the opener has CHS in the 7th floor apartment, Oliver on the 8th, Mabel on the 9th – in reverse order and well below CHS’s real, proper floor in the show. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed “Only Murders in the Building.” There’s a reason both seasons were nominated for and won so many awards. The cast (Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Martin Short) and the writing make this show so special.
It’s a crime thriller filled with twists and laughs
Martin and Short are legends together, and Gomez is a much better actress than I expected. All three of them are incredibly likeable and easy to root for in this series. This show was so good, and every episode was so funny, that I binged both seasons in one weekend.
I can’t wait!
